Day 1

Monday, June 17

CPD-accredited full-day Refresher Course presented by Philip Sykes at the prestigious Carlton Club in Mayfair, Central London

Founded in 1832 and designed by architect Thomas Hopper (1776-1856) at 69 St James’s Street, Carlton Club is one of London’s foremost members-only clubs. It was founded in Georgian London in 1832 as the original home of the Conservative Party before the days of the Conservative Central Office. Today, the club continues to uphold these values in its day-to-day activities. It became a clubhouse after the Pall Mall building was destroyed during the Second World War.

The programme will include: Styling, a milliner, florist, calligraphy session and various activities.

A light lunch and refreshments will be served.

Day 2

Tuesday, June 18

The day will start with an early-morning behind-the-scenes guided tour of the luxury men’s brand Alfred Dunhill in an exquisite Georgian Mansion at Bourdon House in the heart of London. Synonymous with British craftsmanship and design, Dunhill is the foremost British men’s luxury House today. A trusted destination of elevation, classicism, hedonism, and solace for our audience – offering understated, refined pieces across ready-to-wear, leather goods and hard luxury.

Celebrating 130 years of Dunhill, a recently produced film beautifully explores the House’s rich, storied, evolving heritage. Since its inception in 1893, it has been defined by an uncompromising dedication to excellence, craftsmanship and style.

Mid-morning, you will be welcomed at the historic home of Twinings on the Strand for an examination and celebration of tea ceremonies from across the world and throughout history.

During the Masterclass, you’ll be taken on a guided tour of some of the world’s most famous tea ceremonies and brewing styles by one of Twining’s expert Brand Ambassadors.

Sample Gong Fu style brewing, try your hand at making the perfect Matcha and learn about spectacular tea traditions
In the evening, we will enjoy an Evening of Culinary Delights and Breathtaking Vistas as we indulge in a night of gastronomic excellence and unparalleled views during our exceptional dinner cruise along the Thames. Your experience begins the moment you step aboard, greeted with a welcoming glass of sparkling champagne while a courteous waiter presents a delectable starter.
The enchantment continues as you enjoy the harmonious backdrop of popular tunes and West End musical hits, creating a perfect ambience for savouring a sumptuous four-course dinner. Immerse yourself in the stunning cityscape of London as the velvety darkness unveils panoramic views of the river, accompanied by the dazzling illumination of Thames-side landmarks. This evening promises a memorable dining experience and an extraordinary journey through culinary delights and captivating scenery.

Day 3

Wednesday, 19 June

Our first stop is at Lock & Co. Hatters, St James’s Street, the oldest shop in London and the oldest hat shop in the world.

For 345 years, Lock & Co. have worked with the best felts, tweeds, cloth, and cashmere fabrics sourced exclusively from around the world. Drawing from our unique British heritage and craftsmanship, they create traditional and modern hat designs with scrupulous attention to quality and fit. Their hat shop was established in 1676; every Lock & Co. hat purchased is carefully and expertly hand-prepared in their London shop by one of their Hatters before being whisked out of our famous green front door at No. 6, St James’s Street.

We will visit Floris London on Jermyn Street, the home of British Family Perfumers since 1730. Juan Famenia Floris and his wife Elizabeth began selling perfume, combs and shaving products in the elegant quarter of London’s St James, which has been the home of British Family Perfumers since 1730.

A light lunch will follow our tour at the world-famous Fortnum and Mason, the World’s Most Famous Cornershop.

First founded in London’s Piccadilly in 1707, they are proud to have remained an essential destination for anyone searching for extraordinary food, exceptional service and joy-giving things ever since. Everyone remembers their first encounter with them, and no wonder – over our centuries of history, they have been committed to delivering a sense of pleasure to anyone who walks through their doors.
You will have the evening at leisure to explore the city, the fabulous sights, shopping, and restaurants, and get ready for the big day!

Day 4

Thursday 20 June

Revered across the globe, Royal Ascot is the seasonal event of the year, playing host to the finest horse racing, spectacular fashion and delicious food and drink each June. Steeped in elegance, the atmosphere creates the perfect canvas for a drama that cannot be written.

The earliest mention of Ladies’ Day dates back to an early 19th-century poem: “Ladies’ Day… when the women, like angels, look sweetly divine”.
The poem’s author remains unknown, but their words have endured.

Royal Ascot Race Director Nick Smith said: “Royal Ascot is as much a fashion event as a racing event, and that’s something we say with unashamed pride.

“We’re very fortunate that none of the fashion is forced; there are no competitions for best-dressed lady or gentleman.

“It’s all one organic, genuine fashion show of everybody wanting to dress up for the occasion.”

From the very first Royal Ascot, the fashion on offer has presented a mix of the traditional and the eccentric.

And although the discount for ladies no longer exists, the desire to dress to impress most certainly does.

Prepare to be swept away by an extraordinary picnic experience beyond the ordinary. Picture yourself luxuriating in the lap of indulgence, where every moment is curated to perfection with a personalised butler service. Revel in the ultimate blend of sophistication, sumptuousness, and personalised pampering – because you deserve nothing less than the extraordinary.

Day 5

Friday, 21 June

We will start a busy and exciting day with a CPD-accredited business coaching workshop presented by one of London’s top business coaches.

Following the workshop, we will join Philip Sykes for a fine-dining lunch experience. Mastering the art of fine dining is a journey into the refined world of culinary excellence and sophisticated etiquette. It goes beyond mere eating; it explores taste, presentation, and the cultural nuances accompanying each dish. Learning fine dining involves understanding the nuances of table settings, the use of cutlery, and the subtleties of pairing food with the right wine. It’s about cultivating an appreciation for the artistry behind each dish, from its conception to the meticulous execution on the plate. A connoisseur of fine dining not only savours exquisite flavours but also appreciates the ambience, service, and attention to detail that elevate the dining experience to a symphony of sensory delight. It’s a pursuit that combines gastronomic knowledge with a refined sense of elegance, creating an immersive experience that transcends the act of eating into a celebration of culinary artistry.
After freshening up, we will attend a jazz performance at London’s The Ned Jazz Club in the evening. From captivating vocalists to saxophone solos, the musical talents performing at The Parlour are nothing short of extraordinary. Whether you’re sipping on classic cocktails or indulging in signature dishes, the live jazz and cabaret performances at The Parlour provide the perfect backdrop for a memorable night out in London.

Day 6

Saturday, June 22 June

Our action-packed week will culminate in a Gala Dinner evening at London’s prestigious Lansdowne Club, where we will enjoy a sumptuous three-course gourmet dinner and indulgent experience, thanks to the artistry and creativity of Executive Chef Henry Brosi and his team. Philip and his team will present certificates to participants and share the vision and focus of The British School of Excellence.

Day 7

Sunday, 23 June

Champagne Afternoon Tea on The British Pullman Train

Hosted by Philip Sykes, we will embark on an indulgent journey through Greater London and into the Weald of Kent with the British Pullman, savouring a decadent afternoon tea curated for the discerning traveller. Revel in the quintessentially English experience as the train departs from and returns to London, Victoria, over a leisurely three-and-a-half-hour trip. Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of Art Deco interiors, accompanied by a dedicated crew, as you relive the Golden Age of Travel.
Amidst this historical ambience, you will be treated to a culinary masterpiece featuring an exquisite array of savoury delicacies and indulgent pastries, complemented by refreshing tea and half a bottle of Champagne per passenger. Your steward, embodying the essence of service, presents a traditional afternoon tea complete with sandwiches, cakes, and scones, ensuring a gastronomic delight throughout the journey. Allow the scenic countryside to unfold outside your window as you savour every sip of champagne and each delectable bite.
